Motorola Moto 360 Sports Announced In India At 19,999 INR

Motorola today has launched its Moto 360 watch which it showcased first in September last year at the IFA along with Moto 360 (2nd generation). The second generation (first impression) watch docked on Indian shores in December 2015, but it took company four months to launch its sports variant in India. The Moto 360 Sport has hit the virtual shelves of Flipkart and is retailing at Rs. 19,999. It is currently available in black color only.

The watch has been developed keeping needs of athletes and sports personalities. The watch comes with IP67 certification which ensures it is splash proof. It comes with an ‘Anylight hybrid’ display which ensures sunlight legibility is not an issue. The sports variants feature an in-built GPS with the capabilities of measuring speed and distance along with other vital body signs including heart rate. It comes with a music player.

In terms of specification, The Moto 360 Sport features a 1.37-inch LCD display with 360×325 pixels resolution and 263ppi pixel density. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. Under the hood, it sports a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset combined with Adreno 305 with 450MHz GPU and 512MB of RAM. The watch comes with 4GB of storage and can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth 4.0. It also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g as a connectivity option. The Motorola Moto 360 also houses barometric altimeter, accelerometer, ambient light, and gyroscope sensors to keep track of various physical activities.

Things are getting hotter day by day in the smart watch segment. Moto 360 Sports will have to slug it out with Fitbit Suge and Apple Watch Sports which are slightly more expensive in comparison.
