Microsoft has released the commercial and consumer variants of its Surface Laptop Go in India. This happens to be the company’s most affordable Surface lappy in the country. The sleek and lightweight machine sports Intel’s Ice Lake processor, 13 Hours of claimed battery life, and Windows 10 software.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go: What all it brings

Being a small-sized laptop, it only weighs around 1.1 kilograms. The display stretches 12.4-inches, has got 1536 x 1024-pixel resolution, and is touch responsive. There is a 720p webcam up top. On the bottom half of the clamshell, there is a full-size keyboard with 1.3mm key travel and a touchpad.

You can unlock the device using Windows Hello (both face recognition and fingerprint reader-supported). Upon login in, you will be interacting with full-blown Windows 10 software. This is laid on top of the 10th-gen i5-1035G1 Ice Lake processor, coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 256GB of SSD storage.


For audio, you are getting Omnisonic Speakers backed by Dolby Audio tuning and Studio Mics. The connectivity solutions comprise Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0 LE,
3.5 mm headphone jack, 1 x USB-C, 1 x USB-A, and 1 x Surface Connect port.

As mentioned in the beginning, the Surface Laptop Go boasts up to 13 hours of battery life, bolstered by 65W fast-charging.
