Micromax IN 1b, IN Note 1 launched in India starting at ₹6,999

Capitalizing on the Anti-China sentiment and PM Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, Micromax has released two new phones in the country: IN 1b and IN Note 1. Of the two, IN 1b is an extreme entry-level phone whereas IN Note 1 would compete against the likes of Redmis and Realmes in the sub-12K bracket. Both phones boot with Android 10 without any ads or bloatware and a promise of future updates.

Micromax IN Note 1 Highlights

Note 1 sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ 60Hz LCD display with a central cutout for the 16MP selfie camera. Meanwhile, the back cameras comprise a 48MP main sensor, followed by a 5MP ultrawide shooter, a 2MP macro module, and a 2MP depth lens.

You get a rear fingerprint reader to unlock the device. Inside, the phone has Android 10 software. Micromax has promised Android 11 as well as an Android 12 upgrade.

The phone is powered by a Mediatek Helio G85 processor backed by the HyperEngine gaming system. The internals also includes 4GB RAM, and up to 128GB storage (with microSD expansion support). It lives on a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged using an 18W power adapter.

Among other things, you also get reverse charging, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Micromax IN 1b Highlights

The 1b has got a 6.52-inch HD+ 60Hz LCD display with a dewdrop notch. This indent houses an 8MP unit. As for the back, you get a dual-cam setup consisting of a 13MP primary and a 2MP depth unit.

It runs on the MediaTek Helio G35 CPU aided by Mali-G52 GPU, up to 4gigs of RAM, and up to 64GB onboard storage. Here too, you get further expansion via microSD card. The software is Android 10 only, although the promise for Android 11 and 12 remains.

Other things in the repertoire include a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm jack, USB Type-C socket, and a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support.

Micromax IN 1b, IN Note 1 Price and Availability

Micromax IN Note 1 is priced at Rs. 10,999 for the base 4+64GB model and Rs. 12,499 for the bigger 4+128GB variant. You can pick it in green and white colors starting November 24th from Flipkart and the official Micromax site.

On the other hand, Micromax IN 1b starts at Rs. 6,999 for the 2+32GB variant and Rs. 7,999 for the 4+64GB model. It will be available in green, purple, and blue colors. The sale begins from November 26th via Flipkart and Micromax website.
