Micromax introduces Canvas Xpress 4G with 5-inch HD display at 6,599 INR

Adding to the list of its budget phone range today Micromax today launched a new canvas series phone – Canvas Xpress 4G. The phone will be sold exclusively on Flipkart for Rs. 6,599 from Wednesday midnight. The domestic handset maker is looking to cash-in on the rising demand for 4G phones in India. It has also tied up with telecom operator Airtel to offer double 3G or 4G data to buyers of Canvas Xpress 4G.

This budget 4G smartphone features a 5-inch 720P HD IPS display which is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor. The display also gets a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection shield. Another highlight of this phone is that it comes with 2gigs of RAM. As per the company, Canvas Xpress 4G is one the cheapest smartphone in India with 2Ggigs of RAM.

The new Canvas Series phone run on Android Lollipop and bears 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card. The rear camera on the phone gets an 8MP sensor and while at the front it gets a 2MP selfie shooter.

On the connectivity front, the new Micromax 4G phone also offer features like 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options, apart from Dual SIM slots. The smartphone packs a 2000mAh battery.

The Indian smartphone manufacturer has off-late aggressively released a number of 4G devices in India. In September alone Micromax launched three 4G enabled devices – the Canvas Blaze 4G, Canvas Fire 4G, and Canvas Play 4G. Earlier this month, Company introduced flagship Canvas 5 and listed Canvas Blaze 4G+ on its official website.
