Micromax Canvas 6, Canvas 6 Pro, Along With A New Logo launched

In a bid to reinvent its brand image with changing times, Micromax showcased a new logo and carried forward an unprecedented launch of 19 devices. At today’s gala event, Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro debuted as showstoppers. Apart from these two flagship devices Micromax also launched 13 more smartphones, a couple of tablets and 2 new smart televisions. Putting up with the current trends, the domestic manufacturer also launched its own e-store.

Micromax new logo

The Indian Smartphone manufacturer has priced its both flagship smartphones at Rs 13,999. Out of these two devices company has already listed Canvas 6 Pro on its new web store for pre-booking. Canvas 6, with a metal unibody design and a fingerprint sensor, is also expected to be made available in few days.

In terms of specification, both mid-range phablets house a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a 1080×1920 pixel resolution and pixel density of 401ppi. Both these devices are powered MediaTek Helio X10 chipset with different clock speeds. While the Canvas 6 is clocked at 2GHz, company didn’t mention the clocking speed of its pro variant.

The major dissimilarity between these two devices are in their memory and storage. While the Canvas 6 features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, the Canvas 6 Pro features 4GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The Canvas 6 also won the tag of being company’s first smartphone to sport a full metal unibody design along with a fingerprint scanner which are missing from its pro variant.

Both smartphones sports a 13-megapixel rear camera, however, the Canvas 6 comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and the Canvas 6 Pro gets a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Both the devices draw juice from 3000mAh battery and comes running on its Around UI which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Other than these two devices, Micromax also launched Bolt Supreme, Bolt Q381, Canvas Spark 2+, Canvas Evok, Canvas Mega 2 and Canvas Unite 4 smartphones at the same event.
