At CES 2021, Linksys has unveiled its AXE8400 Wi-Fi 6E marsh router system. The new router comes with 6GHz band support that opened up recently for unhindered home or work networks. New 6GHz radio delivers more bandwidth, increasing network speed and reliability, says Linksys.

Linksys AXE8400 Wi-Fi 6E system is certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance and FCC. The router comes with mesh technology for wider coverage areas. The Linksys Wi-Fi 6E comes with an easy setup process via the Linksys app which takes just a few minutes to complete.

This AXE8400 system is driven by Qualcomm Networking Pro 1210 platform. It comes with tri-band support i.e. 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz. It’s other connectivity options include a 5Gbps WAN port, four 1Gbps LAN ports, and a USB 3.0 port.

The new mesh router system claims to connect with more than 65 devices with equal distribution of bandwidth. Linksys claims its AXE8400 system can cover an area of up to 3,000 square feet.

It also features a new Linksys Aware system where it can become a part of your home security set up with its motion-sensing capabilities. It can be turned on or off via the Linksys app. Users can turn on, off, or snooze “motion alerts” and also adjust the motion sensitivity levels.

The Linksys AXE8400 will be available sometime in mid-2021 in the US while there’s no word on when it will hit Indian shores. A single unit of Linksys AXE8400 will cost $449.99 (roughly Rs. 33,000) whereas a two-pack system will cost $849.99 (roughly Rs. 62,300) and a three-pack system will be available for $1,199.99 (roughly Rs. 87,900).
