LG hasn’t been restricting itself to the traditional launch framework this year. Close on the heels of G7 ThinQ, LG has introduced a new V-series phone, the V35 ThinQ in India. The LG V35s ThinQ isn’t a radically new device, but it exists just so the potential V-series buyers have a Snapdragon 845 option mid-cycle. A wise decision, we must say.

LG V35 ThinQ highlights

  • It’s basically an LG V30s ThinQ with upgraded Snapdragon 845 chipset.
  • In the US, it will be a part of Google’s Project Fi.
  • There is no display notch at the top.
  • It borrows the cameras from the G7 ThinQ
  • The dedicated assistant button and new Boombox speakers don’t make the cut, though.

LG V35 ThinQ Features

Apart from the difference in display technology and battery capacity, the LG V35 ThinQ is almost identical to LG G7 ThinQ.

The handset has a 7.3mm slim glass body, a 6-inch OLED screen (QHD+), and is IP68 dust/water resistant certified. It’s also MIL-STD-810G compliant, which makes it more durable.

On the inside, there is SD 845 octa-core mobile platform accompanied by 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. On the rear, there are dual cameras: 16 MP (f/1.6), OIS + 16 MP (Wide angle, f/1.9); and on the front, you will find the new and improved AI-blessed 8MP sensor.

Other features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, 3.5mm audio jack, Hi-Fi Quad DAC, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and 3300mAH battery with fast charging.

LG V35 ThinQ Price and availability

LG V35 ThinQ will be available in the US this June for $900 (roughly Rs. 60,000). The availability will be later extended to other markets in Asia, Middle East, and Africa.

The LG G7 ThinQ that offers nearly the same hardware is available for $750.
