The tech-giant from South Korea, LG, plans to showcase a slew of its smart speakers at coming CES event in Las Vegas this January. The speakers are first of LG’s kind to be powered by Google Assistant. More so, they will be powered by latest Meridian Audio’s advanced high-performance audio technology that delivers more natural and warm sound.

From immersive Dolby Atmos soundbars to portable Bluetooth speakers and its latest AI speaker, LG has something for every music and movie lover.

LG SK10Y Soundbar

First up is LG’s new SK10Y soundbar. The speaker delivers 550W of power output and supports 5.1.2 channels by harnessing the power of Dolby Atmos technology. The performance of SK10Y speakers is boasted by Bass and Space technology that envelops its listeners in rich, uncompromising sound.

The speakers are compatible with your TV and all the Chromecast supportive devices like hubs, speakers and other smart devices supporting Chromecast.

LG PK Series

Next in line is LG’s portable PK series speaker. The speaker delivers powerful sound and mood lighting in a convenient package that can be taken anywhere. These speakers are compatible with the Apt-X HD Bluetooth standard for streaming 24-bit music over a wireless connection.

For added visual flair, Dynamic Party Lighting flashes to the beat and all three PK models feature rugged designs and offer convenient grips for easy handling.

LG ThinQ Speakers

Lastly, LG will add its first “premium” speakers, LG ThinQ to its portfolio. The speaker not only produces high-quality sound but comes with virtual assistant built in. LG has teamed up with Google to ensure that the LG ThinQ Speaker delivers all the conveniences which come with having a digital assistant at your side.

It supports lossless high-resolution audio like LG’s more advanced phones and uses Meridian Audio’s know-how to pump out “more natural and warm” music.

Google Assitant Powered Speakers

Earlier this year, Search-engine giant announced that they will renounce ‘Google Assistant’ exclusivity for their homemade Speakers. And allow third-party developers to develop smart speakers integrated with Google’s voice assistant.

Simply speaking, the smart speaker is a voice-activated digital assistant. These speakers come equipped with microphones, to take voice commands and perform simple tasks using smart algorithms.

LG announcement also hints that most of its upcoming appliances could feature artificial intelligence. In its press note, LG mentions that the speakers can be used to turn on an LG appliance with the simple voice prompts.

“Sound technology has come a long way since LG introduced the first radio to Korean consumers almost 60 years ago,” said Seo Young-Jae, head of the convergence audio and video business division of LG’s Home Entertainment Company. “At this year’s CES, I’m confident audiences will be impressed with the amount of technology we’ve introduced into our audio products without compromising on sound quality.”
