LeEco Membership Launched In India; Priced At 490 Per Month

In an attempt to shake the way Indian consumers consume entertainment content LeEco has announced its entertainment content and on-demand services in India that includes music, movies, sitcoms, sports and liveTV. All these content related services can be availed by LeEco Membership owners. The Chinese conglomerate back at home is known for its video-on-demand services.

The content delivered under this new service is sourced from various content partners. LeEco’s partnership with Eros Now will enable the company to deliver Bollywood and region content which includes more than 2,000 movies on demand on the LeEco phones. Similarly, it will depend upon YuppTV for live TV streaming which will offer more than 100 premium TV channels on LeEco smartphones post upcoming software update.

Under the LeEco Membership, all this content will be available on Le Vidi app which will work on a bunch of videos from various content partners. Member will be able to enjoy live streaming of 9 channels simultaneously depending upon internet speed.

LeEco also announced Le Music and Le Drive as a part of the membership program. Le Music service uses Hungama portfolio to offer over 3.5 million songs in 22 languages alongside music videos, and over 50 live concerts from across the world in a year. This streaming service is ad-free and delivers audio at 320Kbps quality. On the other hand, The LeEco Drive offers a whopping 5TB of cloud storage to subscribers.

The company claimed that the services offered under LeEco Membership is worth Rs. 22,000. However, it is ready to offer LeEco Membership at Rs. 490 per month or Rs. 4,900 annually. Under the membership, it includes Le Vidi, Le Live, Le Music, and LeEco Drive. The newly launched services will also be made available on existing LeEco devices including Le 1s and Le Max smartphones after over-the-air updates.

The Le Vidi and Le Live apps will go live on May 24, the company has set a Q3, 2016 deadline for Le Music and LeEco Drive. Some of the content on these apps will also be available for non-subscribers.
