Reliance’s Jio Platforms has created an artificial intelligence platform, JioBrain. It will help integrate machine-learning capabilities into an established IT framework and infrastructure without changing the entire network. Per the document, Aayush Bhatnagar, the company’s Senior Vice President, shared, “JioBrain supports new applications that can leverage the platform and its APIs to develop specific business logic and innovative use cases.”

Here’s What JioBrain Offers

The platform will provide a set of over 500 REST APIs (application programming interfaces) and data APIs, which will help create services that utilize machine learning. Further, it will also offer advanced multimodal AI features for images, videos, texts, documents, and speech-based inputs. Bhatnagar suggests that JioBran will help enterprises develop new services around 5G connectivity and lay the groundwork for the 6G development.

Per a document shared by Bhatnagar on LinkedIn, JioBrain’s differentiators include:

  • Distributed machine learning.
  • 5G-integrated machine learning.
  • Mobile-ready services.
  • Plug-in architecture.
  • The ability to customize datasets.
  • In-service model upgrades.

JioBrain Relies On Collaboration With Nvidia

Back in 2023, the Chairman of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, mentioned the company’s focus on AI as the next growth frontier. He announced plans to create around 2,000 MW of AI-ready computing infrastructure across the cloud. The company has also collaborated with Nvidia to provide access to the advanced GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip and DGX Cloud technology.

Moreover, JioBrain looks like a product that will help individuals or companies create business-oriented solutions that will benefit both the developer and the customers. However, the announcement lacked any early adopters or examples of initial use cases. Nonetheless, the information should be available shortly.
