iQor on an expansion drive, set to hire 20K people and invest $200 Million in India

World’s leading Technology service provider organization iQor, on Tuesday announced its support for make in India initiative by announcing its plans to invest $200 million in India in next 3-5 years. The company is looking forward to create a pan-India service network.

iQor offers after sales and technical support service for a range of electronic products including set-top boxes, computers, mobile, television and telecom equipment in 17 countries. In its kitty, it also got reknowned brands like Apple, Airtel, Micromax, HP, Ericsson, Tata, Karbonn, Indus Towers,Videocon, ITI and more.

“India is on radar of every leading company. It has grown from a zero smartphones market in 2005 to second largest smartphone market as per third party reports. This talks about opportunity that exists in India. We will invest $200 million in next 3-5 years to grow our business here,” iQor President and CEO Hartmut Liebel said in New Delhi.

At Present, all repair and refurbishment services are carried out in hi-tech facility setups in Manesar (Gurgaon), Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore. With $60million investment so far, the company has 4,000 professionals on payroll across 82 cities. Before the last dawn of 2015, IQor has planned to expand its footmarks to 115 locations across 109 cities and 22 states.
“India is projected to be the second largest smartphone market by 2016. With infrastructure and staff already in place throughout the country, iQor is perfectly positioned to meet India’s increasing demands for skilled, immediate product support,” said Liebel.

Sanjay Vidyarthi, Managing Director-India, iQor said in the press statement: “All our global and domestic clients are expanding massively in India,” “They are all looking for one or two partners to deliver quality services across the country. With our end-to-end capabilities, we intend to become their partner of choice.”
