The changes Apple brings with every new model of its gadgets have always been questionable aspects because of the similarities between the predecessor and successor. Apple launched the I Pad Pro 2021 variants in April 2021 with features like an M1 processor, 8GB or 16GB RAM, 2TB storage, a front-facing camera, and a lot more to mention here. However, the product has been officially discontinued by the brand.

Due to that, the price of the iPad Pro 2021 variant is decreasing on a considerable basis. At this moment, one of the most necessary questions that arise from the situation is that if you should buy the Apple iPad Pro 2021 or the Apple iPad Pro 2022. If you are someone who is bothered by that question, then you are at the right place. Here we will answer the same without indulging in biased opinions and avoiding beating around the bush.

Starting with the display of the two, they both offer a similar 11-inch Liquid Retina display along with along with 600 nits of brightness. On the other hand, the 12.9-inch display variant of the iPad Pro 2022 offers 1600 nits of peak brightness. Not only this, but the latest generation iPad Pro also comes with a Pencil Hover. This feature by Apple allows the device to detect and interact with a pencil up to 12mm above the display. This also helps users in previewing their marks before they actually make them. The feature is going to be a boon for people who are into illustrations and use their pads for other creative aspects.

The change in chipset could be dubbed as the most prominent difference between the two. While the iPad Pro 2021 ships with an M1 processor, the iPad Pro 2022 comes with an M2 chipset. As claimed by Apple, the M2 processor offers an 18% faster CPU. 35% faster GPU and a whopping 2x boost in memory bandwidth from 50GB/s to 100GB/s. As it seems, the Apple iPad Pro 2022 is not that much of an upgrade over the Apple iPad 2021 Pro.
