What is LiDAR Scanner in iPad Pro?

LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is a method that uses light to measure distance by calculating time difference light takes to reach an object and reflect back. The integration of LiDAR Scanner with other elements of iPad Pro is expected to illuminate a new class of AR (Augmented Reality). For instance, it can easily calculate someone’s height, also showing other vertical and edge guides.
