Huawei too has joined the Android Go bandwagon with the launch of Y3, its first-ever smartphone with trimmed down Android Oreo (Go Edition) running on it. The phone features modest specs and is priced aptly for what it has to offer.

The new Huawei Y3 (2018) largely features entry-grade specifications. It has a 5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display on the front and is powered by MediaTek MT6737M SoC, paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage.

For photography, the Huawei Y3 (2018) sports an 8-megapixel with autofocus, f/2.0 aperture lens, and LED flash on the rear. Up front, it has a 2MP fixed-focus front-facing snapper. The firm also touted features such as the F2FS file system and a loudspeaker.
The phone packs a 2280mAh battery that pushes its weight to 180 grams. The overall dimension of Huawei Y3 (2018) measure 145.1×73.7×9.45 mm. As for the connectivity, the phone comes with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz) with hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0 LE, USB 2.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Huawei has launched its Y3 (2018) in South Africa where it has been priced at 999 Rand (roughly to Rs. 5,428). The phone will be up against the likes of Nokia 1 that retails in the same price bracket in the country.
Android Go smartphones launched so far include Asus Zenfone Live L1, Nokia 1, Lava Z50, and Alcatel 1X.
