Huawei was expected to officially introduce its P20 series on March 27, but the bottom-rung option, the P20 Lite, has already hit retail shelves about 2-weeks in advance. Perhaps, Huawei doesn’t want to miss-out on the sudden surge in the display notch frenzy where OEMs like Asus, Vivo, and Oppo have already talked about their notch-display phones.

As of now, the phone is listed on Honors official site in Poland.

Huawei P20 Lite Features

Apart from the display notch, Huawei P20 Lite also borrows the camera module from iPhone X. It’s a glass-body phone with a 5.85-inch 19:9 display and is powered by Kirin 659 chipset (the same SoC that powered Honor 9 lite, Honor 7X, and several other (or all?) affordable Honor phones launched in the last two years).

There is 4GB RAM on board and 64GB inbuilt storage that can be further expanded using the MicroSD card slot. The software running on the phone is Android Oreo-based EMUI 8.0.

The extra camera on the rear has a 2MP sensor and will be used to power the portrait mode. Then there are 16MP sensors on both front and rear. Other features include 3000mAh battery, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C, and Fingerprint sensor.

So, basically, apart from the Notch (or design) other hardware remains the same as on other contemporary affordable Huawei phones like Honor 9 Lite.

Huawei P20 Lite Price

In Poland, the Huawei P20 Lite has been priced at 1,599 PLN which converts to roughly Rs. 30,000. Of course, there is no way Huawei would sell P20 Lite in the subcontinent for the same price.
