HTC expands its One and Desire Series Portfolio With New Launches In India

HTC refreshes its portfolio in India

HTC is trying to rejuvenate its state in Indian smartphone market with the launch of as many as five new devices apart from new flagship in HTC 10. The five new devices are part of HTC’s One and Desire series portfolio spanning across a wide price range. Here’s everything you need to know about all these newly launched HTC smartphones in India.

HTC 10 Lifestyle

Apart global variant of its flagship HTC 10 (first impression), The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer also announced it’s stripped down variant HTC 10 Lifestyle for India. The HTC 10 Lifestyle is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC, 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage variant. Like HTC 10, it also features 5.2-inch Quad HD (1440×2560 pixels) Super LCD display on top with pixel density of 564ppi. Display is protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass.

It bears a 12-UltraPixel camera with laser autofocus, f/1.8 aperture, dual tone LED flash, BSI sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS). On the front, it flaunts a 5-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus and optical image stabilisation (OIS). In connectivity options, it supports Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, DLNA, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and 4G. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery with quick charge 3.0 support. The price of HTC 10 Lifestyle will be announced close to its shipping date.

HTC One X9

HTC also added One X9  to its One series in India. It was first launched at MWC 2016.The multimedia focused smartphone sports a 5.5-inch full HD display. Under the hood, it houses a MediaTek X10 octa-core 64-bit chipset and 3GB RAM. It comes with 32GB of onboard storage and supports microSD card up to 2TB. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with 1.12 μm pixels with OIS support, and a 5-megapixel front camera with 1.12 μm pixels. The battery is packed with 3000 mAh. It is priced at 25,990 and its shipping starts on by the end of June 2016.

HTC Desire 830

HTC Desire 830 was first showcased at MWC earlier this year. It is an upgraded version of last year’s Desire 828 (review). It has a design that appears to be a combination between the Butterfly S of the past and the present Desire 825. The phone comes with a 5.5-inch Corning Gorilla Glass protected Full HD display of 1,080×1,920 pixels resolution and enthrals on an octa-core 1.5 GHz chipset. It also has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of in-built storage which is expandable up to 2TB via microSD. The dual-sim smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. Like HTC One X9, it will also go on sale by the end of June and price will be announced at a later stage.

 HTC Desire 825

The Desire 825 bears a 5.5-inch HD Super LCD display and houses a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core chipset under the hood. The phone comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB ROM with a microSD card slot. For photography enthusiasts, it has a 16-megapixel primary camera at the rear side and a 5-megapixel selfie camera at the front. This dual SIM phone comes with a 2,700mAh battery and support 4G LTE support. It features HTC’s proprietary BoomSound speakers with Dolby support for audiophiles and is also packed Hi-Res headphones inside the box. The HTC Desire 825 comes in two exciting colour options Golden Graphite and Sprinkle White at INR 18,990 will begin rolling out both at both online and offline channels from June 2016 onwards.

HTC Desire 630

HTC Desire 630 is a less expensive sibling of Desire 825. It comes with attractive micro splash paint finish on its polycarbonate body. It too is powered by a Snapdragon 400 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. Unlike Desire 825, it has 720p HD display and doesn’t carry same Corning Gorilla Glass protection. On the storage front, it comes with 16GB on-board storage with an expansion slot. It has a 13-megapixel primary camera and 5-megapixel secondary camera. Audiophiles can enjoy hi-fi audio from on-board stereo speaker on the phone.

In terms of connectivity options, it comes with dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS and others. The HTC Desire 630 comes in two attractive colour combinations Graphite Grey Remix and Stratus White Remix and will be available from June 2016 onwards just like other devices launched in the same event.
