The Taiwanese company HTC has announced its new Bolt smartphone exclusively with Sprint network in the Us. The new phone will start retailing in company’s own online store and Sprint stores starting Friday. It is highly unlikely that HTC will introduce this smartphone in any other region anytime soon. The Bolt has been priced at $600 which roughly translate to Rs. 40,324 approximately.

The HTC Bolt resembles a lot to the HTC 10 which made its debut earlier in this year. Clearly, it has similar aluminum finish back with large chamfer edges on the sides and fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button. The new phone comes with IP57 water resistance certification so it can last in a meter of water up to 30 minutes.

The Bolt has a 5.5-inch quad HD display with 1440×2560 pixels running resolution. It is powered by last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset which is a sort of a disappointment as it is famous for its heating issues. The phone comes with  a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It supports microSD card (up to 2TB).

For shutterbug, it sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilisation, 4K video recording, and PDAF (phase detection auto focus). Selfie enthusiasts can enjoy 8-megapixel self-portraits taken from the front camera. It is aided by a 3200mAh battery which comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology for fast charging.

the Bolt comes out of the box running on Android 7.0 Nougat, which makes it HTC’s first smartphone to run on Google’s newest Android platform. It supports carrier aggregation technology which ensures much-improved download speeds over LTE networks. The phone will be available in silver and gunmetal colors options.
