HTC 10 with Snapdragon 820 And Marshmallow Docks In India

HTC 10 is here. The 2016 flagship of Taiwanese Smartphone manufacturer, packed with premium specs with aluminium ui-body design, was first announced in April, 2016 globally. The new HTC 10 goes on sale in India on June 5 at Rs. 52,990. It will be available on both online and offline retail channels.

HTC 10 is the first phone from the company that boasts off a 2K display on the front. It is also packed with HTC’s BoomSound technology with Dolby Surround Sound and DAC to offer best music experience on a smartphone. Instead of frontal speaker, HTC has placed speakers at the bottom in this new flagship device. Like HTC A9 (hands-on), it also features a fingerprint sensor embedded in home button.

In terms of specification, HTC 10 comes with 5.2-inch Super LCD which has a running resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and 565 ppi pixel density. The screen to body ration of HTC 10 is approx. 71 percent which isn’t exactly great.  The screen is layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to shield it from scratches.  Under the hood, it houses a top of the line quad-core Snapdragon 820 chipset of which two Kryo cores are clocked at 2.15 GHz & remaining two at 1.6 GHz. Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB RAM are roped for heavy lifting of graphic intensive games and other day-to-day tasks. It comes with 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

HTC 10 features

For Shutterbugs, HTC has developed a new 12megapixel UltraPixel rear camera module that includes f/1.8 aperture, second generation Laser autofocus and dual tone LED flash. It also supports 4K recording. On the font, it bears a 5-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization (world’s first phone to do so).

HTC 10 is aided by a 3000mAh battery which according to HTC offers up to 27 hours of talk time. It supports Quick Charge 3.0 and it can get to 50 per cent charge in just under 30 minutes. The smartphone supports USB Type-C charging. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with HTC Sense UI on top. HTC has made an effort to keep it close to stock Android.
