If you are a Jio user, you might have to log-in MyJio app every now and then to manage or monitor your account. Doing this, however, triggers Hello Jio voice assistant which floats on the screen as a button. The Jio assistant can address Jio related queries with simple voice commands, but it’s painfully slow and overly intrusive.

You can drag and drop the hello Jio assistant button in the bin but that’s only a temporary solution to a very annoying problem. The button pops up again the next time you open the app and you will have to manually get rid of it every time.

I am sure most people would rather get rid of it. Thankfully, there are ways you can permanently disable the MyJio overlay button for good.

How to permanently disable My Jio Voice assistant floating button

Method 1

Step 1: Open the MyJio app and sign-in.

Step 2: Tap the Settings wheel on the bottom bar.

Step 3: Now select “App Settings” option in the settings menu.

Step 4: You will find the “HelloJio” option here. Tap on it and then disable the toggle that pops. And then hit ‘Save’.

That’s it, the Jio overlay floating button won’t bother you next time you open the app.

Using this method, you can still access the Jio voice assistant from the microphone icon next to the status bar.

Method 2

There is another way you could do achieve the same result.

Step 1: Go to Settings>>App settings and select MyJio to open its App info page.

Step 2: Now disable microphone permission for the app

Permanently disable Floating Jio button from My Jio App

These are the two methods you could adopt to get rid of the annoying floating button for good. The first method is preferable and it still gives you the flexibility to summon the Voice assistant by tapping the microphone button in the app.
