HONOR MagicBook Pro 2020 announced with 16.1-inch FHD display, 10th Gen Intel Core i5/i7 processor

HUAWEI’s subsidiary brand HONOR has revealed its 2020 refresh of the MagicBook Pro at its HONOR Smart Life event. The ultrabook has received an incremental upgrade over its predecessor. The Huawei MateBook D 14 inspired MagicBook Pro comes in a metal case and some powerful innards.

Honor MagicBook Pro Features

The MagicBook Pro notebook is 16.1-inches display with 90-percent screen to body ratio. The display itself is a 1080p FHD panel with 100% sRGB coverage. The exterior shell is built out of aluminium alloy and it weights just 1.7kg and is 16.9mm thick.

Under the hood, its base variant employs the 10th Generation Intel Core i5 with an option to opt for a Core i7-10510U Processor depending on your pocket. Both variants are offered with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. Apart from Intel graphics, it also includes NVIDIA GeForce MX350 GPU with 2GB of DDR5 RAM for graphics. The laptop ships with Windows 10 Home pre-installed. To prevent thermal throttling it also includes a custom dual-fan solution to keep CPU temperature in check.

The laptop also includes a weirdly placed 1MP webcam hiding in the keyboard. There are dual microphones built-in for video calls. It also comes with a fingerprint reader for authentication. On the connectivity side, the Matebook Pro supports Wi-Fi 5 (ac) with 2×2 MIMO and Bluetooth 5.0. It also has one USB-C port, three USB-A 3.0, an HDMI port, a 3.5mm jack for headphones & microphone.

The laptop comes with a 56Wh built-in battery, which as per Honor can keep the system running for 14 hours on light use or 11.5h on video playback.

Honor MagicBook Pro 2020 Price and Availability

The Honor MagicBook Pro 2020 is currently only available in China starting from May 19. The i5 version of MagicBook Pro to retail for CNY 6,000 (approx. Rs 61,000), and the Core-i7 variant is offered for CNY 6,700 (approx. Rs 71,500).
