Honor 10 with Dual Camera and Notch Launched: Price, Features and Specifications

As said, Huawei sub-brand Honor took the wraps off its flagship phone the Honor 10 at an event in China, today. The phone succeeds the Honor 9 – launched last year, and comes with a revamped design, better chipset, Artificial Intelligence 2.0-powered optics and a notch on the front. The international launch of the Honor 10 is expected in London on May 15.

Honor 10 Features

The biggest takeaway in the Honor 10 is Huawei’s AI 2.0 technology. The said technology works in tandem with phone’s camera to shoot better portrait photos using the selfie camera, improve the face detection in the image gallery, and offers an advanced self-timer.

The sensors on Honor 10 includes a combination 16-megapixel + 24-megapixel with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash on the rear, and 24-megapixel shooter on the front. Again they are touted to come with AI-capabilities to enhance the overall result.

The Honor 10 packs a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with 19:9 screen aspect ratio, the notch on top and a slight amount of bezel in the chin. The notch is where you will find the selfie camera and all the necessary sensors placed.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by an Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC built on the 10nm process integrated with i7 co-processor. The chipset is paired with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB eMMC 5.1 onboard storage.

Out of the box, the Honor 10 runs on Android Oreo 8.1-based EMUI 8.1 and houses a 3400mAh battery with fast charging support. In terms of connectivity, you get 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The Honor 10 measures 149.6×71.2×7.7mm and weigh 153 grams.

Honor 10 Price and Availability

Honor launched its flagship phone in China where the Honor 10 is priced at CNY 2,599 (roughly translate to Rs. 27,221) for the 64GB storage and CNY 2,999 (roughly translate to Rs. 31,1411) for the 128GB storage variant. It will available in Black, Teal, and Twilight color options.

The Honor 10 will be available for sale in China from April 27 onwards. There are no words as to when the phone will hit other markets including India.
