TL; DR
- Google might add an Audio Overview feature to Gemini, turning your PDFs into podcasts.
- The feature will suggest converting documents to audio automatically when uploaded.
- It’s still in development, with no confirmation on availability in the free version of Gemini.
You must’ve heard a lot about AI these days, but have you ever imagined turning your boring PDFs or documents into engaging podcasts? Well, Google might just be working on making that a reality.
According to an APK teardown shared by Android Authority, there’s a chance that Gemini, Google’s AI assistant, could soon let you convert documents into audio overviews, just like its sibling, NotebookLM.

NotebookLM, launched with the cool feature of Audio Overviews, scans through your notes and turns them into podcasts with virtual hosts casually discussing your content. Now, it looks like Gemini could be getting a similar feature.
The feature is still in development and looks like Gemini will automatically suggest you to request an Audio Overview as soon as you upload a PDF. This would be a huge leap forward in transforming the way we consume information.

Again, we’ll have to wait for the official release, but it’s definitely something to look forward to. We’re also not sure if this will be available in the free version of the Gemini app or not.
