TL; DR
- POCO X7 Pro is set to be the first device in India with HyperOS 2.0, likely launching in December.
- Xiaomi 15 series won’t arrive in India until 2025, so it won’t debut HyperOS 2.0 in the country.
- Redmi Note 14 series in India might launch with HyperOS 1.0 based on Android 14.
Xiaomi introduced HyperOS last year as the successor to MIUI 14. Now, after a year, the company has announced HyperOS 2.0, which has seen several improvements. Outside of China, the Xiaomi 15 series has become the first to ship with HyperOS 2.0.
However, in India, the story is a little different. The Xiaomi 15 series will not arrive in India until 2025, which means the series won’t be the first to launch with HyperOS 2.0. The POCO X7 Pro will be the first device to launch with HyperOS 2.0 software.

At the moment, our source is not sure about the specifications of the POCO X7 Pro, but rumors indicate that the X7 Pro will be a modified version of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ and not the K80E, as that device has officially been canceled.
Last year, the POCO X6 Pro (review) was also the first device in India to ship with HyperOS out of the box. It looks like the Xiaomi group will follow the trend this year as well.

Redmi Note 14 Series to Ship with HyperOS 1.0
Likewise, the Redmi Note 14 series in India might not ship with HyperOS 2.0 out of the box. For those unaware, the series has already launched in China with HyperOS 1.0. When it launches in India in December, it will also ship with HyperOS 1.0 based on Android 14.
The launch date of the POCO X7 Pro is expected to be in December. In a reply to a tweet asking about the launch date of the POCO M7 Pro, CEO Himanshu Tandon replied, “December.” This likely means that both the POCO X7 Pro and the POCO M7 Pro will be launching simultaneously in December 2024. Stay tuned.
