Ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, Dell has refreshed the XPS series, which is known for its sleek design and hidden touchpad. The new XPS 13, XPS 14, and XPS 16 models come with Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors, up to 64GB of RAM, and an optional graphics card from Nvidia.
New XPS 13 Specifications
The latest XPS 13 will be available in three screen options. While one variant comes with a 13.4-inch FHD+ non-touch display and a 500-nit typical brightness, another model comes with a 13.4-inch QHD+ touch display. Post-launch, the laptop will have a 13.4-inch OLED display option with 3K+ resolution and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.
In terms of processors, the laptop will be available with Intel Core Ultra 5 and Core Ultra 7 processors, paired with up to 64GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 4TB of SSD storage. Out of the box, the XPS 13 laptop will run on either Windows 11 Home or Pro version.
In terms of connectivity, users will get Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.4, and two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports (with DisplayPort and Power Delivery). Other features of the compact laptop include a 55Whr battery, an FHD webcam with two digital array microphones, a backlit keyboard, a seamless glass haptic touchpad, and an ambient light sensor for display brightness control.
Dell XPS 13’s starting price is $1,299 in the United States and $1,799 in Canada.
New Dell XPS 14 Specifications
The latest iteration of the Dell XPS 14 will be available in two display options: a 14.5-inch FHD+ non-touch screen with 500 nits typical brightness and a 15.4-inch 3.2L OLED touch screen with 400 nits typical brightness. Both models feature Dolby Vision and EyeSafe Technology.
The laptop will hit the market with an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, up to 64GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and 4TB of SSD storage. Further, there’s a model with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4050 laptop graphics card (6GB GDDR6 VRAM). Out of the box, the laptop either runs on Windows 11 Home or Pro.
For connectivity, the laptop features Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.3, and a host of ports, including three Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, one microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There’s a 69.5Whr battery powering the device. Other features like the webcam, touchpad, and keyboard are identical to the Dell XPS 13 series.
Dell XPS 14’s starting price is $1,699 in the United States and $2,299 in Canada.
New Dell XPS 16 Specifications
Out of the three models, the XPS 16 offers the most in terms of performance and battery life. It is available in two screen options: a 16.3-inch FHD+ non-touch display with 500 nits of typical brightness and a 16.3-inch 4K+ touch display with 400 nits of typical brightness.
Users can configure the XPS 16 with up to Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, up to 64GB of LPDDR5X, 4TB of SSD, and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU (with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM). Like the other two models, this one runs on either Windows 11 Home or Pro.
For connectivity, users get Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.4, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, one microSD card reader, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C to USB-A v3.0 and HDMI v2.0 adapter. Users also get a 99.6Whr battery that supports fast charging via a 130W AC adapter.
Regarding price, Dell’s top-of-the-line XPS 16 starts at $1,899 in the United States and $2,549 in Canada. More details about availability and the Indian launch should surface soon following the showcase at CES 2024.
