How to confirm if a Facebook post has been edited

1

Facebook posts don’t show ‘Edited’ tag next to them anymore, which has both its merits and drawbacks. While page managers can correct errors inconspicuously if they don’t get it right the first time, but on the consumer end, this could very well brew some confusion.

The good thing is, all Facebook posts still have edit histories only if you know where to find them. You can access this edit history to confirm and verify if a Facebook post has been edited since the last time you saw it.

So, you can follow these simple steps to check if a Facebook post has been edited or not, and to access edit history as well.

Step 1: Click on the arrow on the top right corner

Step 2: you will either see ‘More options’ or ‘View edit history’ directly in the drop down menu

Step 3: If you see more options, tap on it and select View edit history.

Once you view edit history, you will see all edits with time stamps and that should help resolve any sort of confusion.

You can repeat the same steps to check Facebook post edit history on the Mobile Facebook app for Android and iOS.
