The Bharat Mobility Global Expo’s inaugural day saw the release of several EV vehicles, including the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara and the Hyundai Creta Electric. On the second day, however, the focus is on global brands, ones that are either foraying into the market or releasing a new version of their global best-sellers in India.
VinFast Enters Indian Market With VF7 And VF6
The most buzzing announcement of the day happens to be from the Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast. At the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025, the company showcased its VF 7 and VF 6 SUVs, marking its debut in the Indian market. To make these vehicles locally in India, the company is setting up a manufacturing plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, with an investment of about $500 million.
Out of the two, the VinFast VF 7 will be the first electric SUV to launch in India. Globally, the car ships with a 75.3 kWh battery pack that provides up to 450 kilometers of claimed range. The EV also provides two powertrain options: the single-motor variant comes in a front-wheel drive configuration that generates 201 bhp of power and 310 Nm of torque, while the dual-motor variant with all-wheel-drive system provides 348 bhp of power and 500 Nm of peak torque.
On the other hand, the VinFast VF 6 offers a claimed range of 400 kilometers. Further, the variant comes with a single-motor setup that generates 171 bhp of peak power and 250 Nm of peak torque. Then, there’s a plus version of the vehicle that produces 198 bhp of power and 309 Nm of torque. More details on the vehicle, including its release timeline and price, should surface online soon.

BMW’s Best-Selling Global SUV Launched In India
On the second day of Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, BMW launched one of its most popular luxury SUVs, the BMW X3, in India. The vehicle costs Rs. 75.80 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the variant with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine (190 bhp and 310 Nm) and Rs. 77.80 (ex-showroom) for the 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine (197 bhp and 400 Nm).
At the front, the vehicle features kidney-shaped grilles with two L-shaped LED DRLs in the headlamp unit. With stronger side skirts, massive alloy wheels (probably 18 or 19-inch ones), and T-shaped taillights, the vehicle has a strong road presence.
On the inside, the BMW X3 offers electrically adjustable, ventilated/heated front seats, a panoramic screen system that includes the infotainment display and the digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, an optional Driving Assistant Professional Package with ADAS features, Traffic jam Assistant, and parking assistance. Bookings for the vehicle have already commenced.
MG Majestor Breaks Cover At Auto Expo 2025
The Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025 also witnessed the launch of the full-size MG Majestor SUV. At the front, the vehicle gets a broad grille, along with LED DRLs, and a silver skid plate at the bottom. If the vehicle’s side profile looks familiar, that is because it is based on the MG Gloster. It features a tall roofline and large 19-inch alloy wheels; then, there are the connected taillights on the back.
Although the company didn’t reveal the vehicle’s interiors, we know a bit about the engine options. First, the Majestor will ship with a 2-liter diesel engine that produces 161 PS of peak power. Second, it offers a 2-liter twin-turbo diesel engine that produces 216 PS of power. Competing with SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner Legender, the MG Majestor could cost around Rs. 50 lakhs (ex-showroom).
MG Debuts ZS HEV In India
MG also revealed the ZS HEV. While the vehicle has several exterior and interior changes, it also has a strong hybrid powertrain. The car has a sleeker front bumper (positioned lower than its predecessor), connected LED DRLs, and a broad front grill with active air dams. Other exterior changes include new alloys and revamped LED tail lamps.
MG ZS HEV’s cabin features include a sport three-spoke steering wheel, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat. However, the vehicle’s main selling point seems to be its 1.5-liter petrol. When combined with the hybrid powertrain (which consists of an electronic motor), the car produces 196 PS of power and 465 Nm of torque.
For those catching up, the MG Astor facelift will be based on the new MG ZS HEV. Hence, we can expect to see a similar design, interior, and powertrain options.
BYD Unveils Sealion 7 EV In India
The Chinese automaker BYD launched its Sealion 7 EV at the Bharat Mobility Globa Expo 2025. What’s unique about the EV’s exterior is that it doesn’t have a connected LED DRL setup at the front (good for those who don’t like having light bars on their cars). There are DRLs, though, L-shaped ones around the headlamps. Below the DRLs are the active air intakes and a sport skid plate.
Other BYD Sealion 7 EV highlights include 19-inch alloy wheels, flush door handles, a tapered roofline, LED tail lights, and aggressive bottom cladding at the back. On the inside, the vehicle features a massive 15.6-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument customer, and a four-poke steering wheel with BYD’s logo in the center.
For those wondering about the BYD Sealion 7’s power and range figures, it comes in two 82.56 kWh battery packs. While the baseline variant features a single-motor setup that produces 313 PS of peak power, 380 Nm of peak torque, and 567 kilometers of claimed range, the top trim offers a dual-motor setup that produces 530 PS of power, 690 Nm of torque, and 542 kilometers of claimed range.

Ahead of its global debut, Toyota showcased the Urban BEV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. At its core, the vehicle is based on the recently-launched Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara. However, there are a few cosmetic tweaks that set the vehicle apart.
For instance, the Toyota Urban BEV features a slightly different front profile, along with different LED DRLs, LED headlamps, a tweaked alloy, and a rear profile design. However, as we’ve seen on other models like Fronx and Taisor or Baleno or Glanza, the interiors of the Urban BEV are nearly identical to those of the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara.
Other components like automatic climate control, a wireless charger, a 360-degree camera system, ADAS features, and powertrain options are similar to those of the Maruti’s first EV. Readers should remember that this is a concept vehicle at this stage, and the production-ready variant could have a few tweaks.
