Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially opened the second edition of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, a six-day event anticipated to feature more than 100 product launches spanning automobiles, components, advanced technologies, and additional sectors. The theme for the 2025 auto expo is “Beyond Boundaries: Co-Creating Future Automotive Value Chain,” and it will take place at three prominent locations: Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, Yashbhoomi in Dwarka, and the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida.
Electric vehicles are anticipated to take center stage at this year’s auto expo, with manufacturers like Maruti, Hyundai, and BMW presenting their electric models. The expo will feature the launch of new four-wheelers and a wide array of two-wheelers and innovative technologies. Mercedes Benz CLA Class Concept Showcased
German luxury automaker Mercedes Benz has pulled the covers off the CLA Class concept which is a four-door-all electric coupe based on a brand-new platform. The CLA CLass concept will pave the way for three more entry-level models underpinned by the same architecture, including two SUVs. It promises a range of 750km thanks to its in-house drive unit that offers 93% energy from battery to wheels in long-distance driving. There is also an 800V architecture that allows top-ups of up to 400km in 15 minutes.
Tata Avinya Crossover Showcased

Tata has unveiled the Avinya, an all-electric concept that showcases a sleek and contemporary design. Constructed on the new EMA platform shared with JLR, the interior boasts a minimalist and cutting-edge aesthetic. The vehicle will offer multiple powertrain and drivetrain configurations, with an estimated range exceeding 500 kilometers on a single charge. The official launch is scheduled for 2026.

India’s First Solar Car & Flying Car at Auto Expo

Vayve Mobility, a startup based in Pune, is set to present the enhanced version of its solar-powered electric vehicle, EVA, at the 2025 expo. This compact urban vehicle is specifically designed to address common challenges associated with city commuting, such as the need for frequent recharging and elevated operating expenses. Equipped with solar panels on its roof, the EVA can extend its range by an additional 3,000 kilometers annually, complementing its standard range of 250 kilometers. The vehicle operates at a cost of 0.5 per kilometer and includes features such as smartphone connectivity, over-the-air software updates, and more.

Additionally, the Flying Car, which was previously showcased at CES 2025, will also be featured at the Auto Expo in India. This innovative vehicle aims to transform urban mobility by providing a solution to issues like traffic congestion and extended travel times.

Toyota Urban EV Concept Showcased

The Toyota Urban Cruiser EV Concept was unveiled on the opening day of the expo. This model is derived from the Maruti Suzuki e-VX concept and features a sleek black and grey color palette. It includes rear seats with a 40:20:40 split configuration for enhanced flexibility, along with a 10.1-inch display for smartphone connectivity. Toyota plans to provide the Urban Cruiser EV in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants. The front-wheel drive version will be equipped with a 49kWh battery, while the all-wheel drive variant will feature a 61kWh battery. The vehicle’s range has not yet been disclosed.
