A year ago, the platforms offered expensive plans that could be used on any device but with time, they have realized that India is a country where people would go for cheaper plans more, and many Indians watch content only on mobiles/smartphones. This became why all these leading OTT giants launched mobile-only plans that were more affordable and could be used on mobile devices only. Amazon Prime Video mobile plan: ₹599/year
Amazon’s smartphone-only plan is called the Prime Video Mobile edition and is available in India. The mobile plan is priced at Rs 599 with a validity of one year offering access to the Prime Video app to one user only. Unlike regular Prime membership, this one does not provide advantages like free Amazon delivery, Amazon Music, multi-user access, etc. The Rs. 599 Mobile Plan is valid for 365 days and benefits include access to Amazon originals, live cricket, and international movies. It also offers offline viewing, with a streaming quality of 480p and single smartphone screen support.
Netflix Mobile plan: ₹149/month
Netflix has several subscription options available in India but the most cost-effective one is the Mobile-only plan which costs Rs 149 per month. It is suitable for those who mostly stream Netflix on their smartphones. The package provides access to all of the Netflix platform’s content at an SD quality of 480p resolution and can be accessed on Android phones, tablets, iPhones, and iPads. This mobile subscription lets users watch Netflix content on mobile phones and tablets. The plan allows access on one screen at a time and downloads can be made only on signed-in devices.
Disney+ Hotstar Mobile plan: ₹149 for 3 months
For mobile devices, Disney+ Hotstar offers both monthly and yearly plans which cost Rs 149 for three months and Rs 499 for 12 months. It is the most basic plan that works only on mobiles and offers content, including 7 multiplex blockbusters, Disney+ originals, live sports, and Hotstar Specials in HD quality. Both of these mobile plans allow users to log in to one device at a time and it logs out of the previous device when a new device is logged in. Also, the plans are ad-supported.
SonyLiv Mobile plan: ₹599/year
Sony LIV offers a Mobile Only Plan for a price of Rs. 599 for 365 days. Users will be able to watch all Sony LIV content on one mobile screen at a time. Sony LIV Original movies and shows, blockbuster movies, live sports, tournaments, Hollywood movies, and shows will be available with the plan. Up to 5 profiles will be allowed and kid’s content is also included in this plan.
Jio Cinema Plan
The Jio Cinema app is free for Jio phone users. All the Hindi and Indian language content is free to stream for all users. No Mobile-only plan is available but a Premium subscription costs Rs. 999/year. The benefits of the plan are-

Zee5: Rs. 399 Mobile Plan
It is one of the most inexpensive mobile plans of Zee5. The plan costs Rs. 399 for 365 days, which means the monthly cost is about Rs. 34, which is very cheap. The mobile plan supports one screen with a video quality of 720p.
Discovery+: No mobile plan
Discovery+, the American streaming service owned by Warner Bros, offers one of the most affordable plans in India. It costs Rs 199 per month and Rs 399 per year for the subscription.
Eros Now: No mobile plan
There is no specific mobile plan available from Eros Now video platform. The monthly, quarterly, and annual plans cost Rs. 49, Rs. 79, and Rs. 399 respectively. Eros Now Basic is a free plan that just requires you to register on the site and start watching. The only limitation is that it doesn’t offer access to all content on the app.
