Asus ROG Phone 6 series makes a debut in India: Check pricing, specs, and more

Finally, Asus has refreshed the ROG series with the launch of the ROG Phone 6 series in India. The smartphone series will consist of two devices – Asus ROG Phone 6 and Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro. 

Starting off with the highlights, the company has made a few tweaks in terms of design. Furthermore, the device comes with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 flagship processor.

The smartphone has an AeroActive Cooler 6 which claims to offer ultimate cooling and taming all the heating issues related to the device. It has three different cooling settings to tackle heating issues. The graphite sheets used in the latest instalment of ASUS devices are two times larger than what we have seen in its predecessors.

Pricing and availability in India

The Asus ROG Phone 6 shipping with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage is priced at Rs 71,999. The high-end variant of the smartphone with 18GB RAM and 512GB internal storage can be purchased for the price of Rs 89,999.

So, just to let you understand it better, there is no difference between the Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro in terms of specifications apart from the RAM and storage capacity. 

Both the devices feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display accompanied by a 165Hz adaptive refresh rate. The smartphones run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and the storage of both the devices cannot be expanded further. It operates on the ROG UI and ZEN UI based on the Android 12 operating system. 

As claimed by the company, its cooling system has the capability of bringing down the temperature of the handsets by up to 10 degrees celsius.

For the sake of photography, the Asus ROG Phone 6 series gets a triple rear camera set up. It includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary lens, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro lens. The 12MP camera at the front promises to deliver perfect selfies in both daylight and low light settings. 

As for the battery, both smartphones are powered by a 6000mAh battery. It is divided into two different 3000mAh cells along with dual USB-C type ports. The smartphone supports 65W super-fast charging that might fully fuel up the device in less than an hour.
