Asus ROG Phone 6 & Phone 6 Pro 2D design renders surface online

Asus launched ROG Phone 5 Series in March last year and now the company is working on its successor series, which is ROG Phone 6 series. ROG Phone 6 Series will preliminarily have ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro, 2D design renders for which have surfaced online.

Tipster EqualLeaks have shared some design renders of the Asus ROG Phone 6 and Phone 6 Pro which shows its design to be quite similar to the ROG Phone 5 smartphones. There’s a slight change in cameras and their design, secondary display, and back panel design. This time it is expected to be a horizontal camera island with a triple camera system on both the 6 and 6 Pro devices.

The second display on the ROG Phone 6 will be larger in comparison to the ROG Phone 5’s POMOLED display. The screen will be vertical unlike the slanted one on ROG 5. One of the ROG 6 Phones has a larger display and different back graphics than the other one. Republic of Gamers branding is visible at the bottom too. ROG Phones are expected to launch in the upcoming months, most probably in March, because that is when ROG Phones 5 debuted as well.

In unrelated news, the Phone 5 series comes with a 6.78-inch Samsung Super AMOLED display and has a Full HD+ resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. In the camera department, the series has a 64MP+13MP+5MP triple camera setup at the back. There’s an in-display fingerprint scanner too.

Asus ROG Phone 5, 5 Pro, and 5 Ultimate are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. The 5 and 5 Pro have up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, while the 5 Ultimate also comes in an 18GB RAM variant. The smartphones pack a dual battery of 3000+3000mAh with a total capacity of 6000mAh along with 30W fast charging technology.
