Asus ROG Phone 2 with 12GB RAM goes on sale: Price, Specifications

Asus ROG Phone 2 launched in India in September this year and was announced in two variants: 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage and a 12GB of RAM with 512GB storage. While the 8GB variant has been cycling in and out of stocks, the flagship 12GB RAM variant is now available for purchase for the very first time.

So, if you have been waiting for the uncompromised version of the gaming beast, we’d advise you to hurry as the stock might run out soon. For everyone else, here’s a quick refresher.

Asus ROG Phone 2 (12GB + 512GB) price in India

The 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant of the Asus ROG Phone 2 is priced at Rs. 59,999 in India. As promised at the time of India launch for this higher-priced variant Asus will bundle a 30W HyperCharge Fast ROG Charger and the Aero Active Cooler 2 within the box.

The ROG Phone 2 (review) base variant i.e 8GB RAM +128GB Storage buyers can also buy these accessories separately by playing a premium of Rs. 1,999 and Rs. 3,999 respectively.

Asus ROG Phone 2 Highlights

The Asus ROG phone 2 is driven by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset. Asus has made incremental upgrades in display as the ROG Phone 2 comes with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and 49ms touch latency. Also, those remappable ultra-sonic air triggers are quite handy for FPS games.

There is Corning Gorilla Glass 6 to shield the display from accidental scratches. The Asus ROG Phone 2 includes a 48-megapixel primary camera coupled with a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera at the back and has a 24-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

The ROG Phone 2 is backed by a 6,000mAh battery and supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 Fast Charging technology. Asus has moved the fingerprint sensor from the rear-side to the front beneath display. There are front-firing stereo speakers that are loud and have DTS:X Ultra Support.
