Aprilia RS440 India Launch

The Indian launch of the Aprilia 440cc motorcycle might align with the upcoming MotoGP event at the Buddh International Circuit, adding to the excitement. Globally, this eagerly awaited model is set to make its debut on September 7, 2023. In anticipation of the unveiling, Pratyush Rout has crafted digital renders showcasing the new Aprilia RS440 motorcycle, offering enthusiasts a sneak peek of what’s to come.

Aprilia’s previous entries in the upper spectrum of the middleweight motorcycle segment may not have met expectations. However, the upcoming 440cc bike could mark a significant departure, especially since it will be produced locally and is expected to sport an attractive price point, potentially redefining the brand’s success in this market segment.

Aprilia RS440 Specifications

The manufacturer recently unveiled a fresh teaser that provides a glimpse of the motorcycle’s striking front and streamlined rear. These features were also spotted in prior spy shots when the bike underwent testing in India. Notably, the bike will come equipped with a USD fork and monoshock suspension arrangement, coupled with an aluminum swingarm, as demonstrated in the teaser.

The exhaust system will be of the underbelly type. Expect additional highlights such as a split-seat configuration, comprehensive all-LED lighting, and the possibility of a TFT instrument panel with smartphone connectivity for the upcoming 440cc motorcycle.

Powertrain

Anticipated to be equipped with a 440cc parallel-twin engine, the Aprilia RS 440 might draw inspiration from the larger 660cc engine employed in the RS660 model. This powerplant is expected to incorporate advanced features, including liquid cooling, a 4-valve configuration per cylinder, and a DOHC architecture. Projections suggest it could deliver approximately 45 bhp of maximum power and 40 Nm of peak torque, promising a dynamic and spirited riding experience.
