The Apple-owned audio manufacturer Beats has launched the Powerbeats Pro 2 in India. While the earphones come with features like active noise cancelation, transparency mode, and Personalized Spatial Audio, it is also capable of heart rate monitoring, which separates them from the rest of the options in the market.

Powerbeats Pro 2 Leverages Apple’s Active Noise Cancelation Technology

First and foremost, the earphones offer a redesigned earhook for enhanced comfort and a snug fit during workouts. Second, they feature a redesigned acoustic architecture that delivers powerful, immersive sound with clear highs, rich-mid-range tones, and deep bass.

Thanks to the powerful H2 chip, Powerbeats Pro 2 also leverages Apple’s best-performing active noise cancelation technology for an isolated listening experience. Users also get a transparency mode to stay connected to their environment. Additional features of the earphones include adaptive EQ, IPX4 water resistance rating, and upgraded venting to increase comfort and sound.

Powerbeats Pro 2 Unlocks Heart Rate Monitoring Via Optical Sensors

However, the main highlight of the Powerbeats Pro 2 is the heart rate monitoring feature, which gives users real-time data. The earphones feature LED optical sensors that pulsate over 100 times per second to measure the blood flow. In fact, the Powerbeats Pro 2 are the first in-ear earphones to come with heart rate tracking to the best of our knowledge.

At launch, the device was compatible with the following apps in India: Runna, Nike Run Club, Open, Ladder, Slopes, and YaoYao.

The Powerbeats Pro 2 supports one-touch pairing with Apple devices, along with ecosystem-specific features like automatic switching, Audio Sharing, hands-free Siri, and Find My for locating the device in case it is lost. It is also compatible with Android devices, wherein users must install the Beats App.

Powerbeats Pro 2

Each Powerbeats Pro 2 earbud is equipped with a voice accelerometer, along with three microphones. Remember the popular Voice Isolation feature available on supported iPhones and the AirPods Pro 2? It is now available on the Powerbeats Pro 2 as well.

Last but not least, the Powerbeats Pro 2 offers up to 45 hours of battery life (with the charging case) on a single charge. The official press release also mentions how an individual earbud can offer up to 10 hours of playback time per charge. With support for fast charging (or, as the company likes to call it – Fast Fuel), the earphones can provide up to 90 minutes of playback on a five-minute charge.

Powerbeats Pro 2 Price And Availability

The Powerbeats Pro 2 starts at Rs. 29,900 in India. They are available to purchase on Apple’s official website. In the box, buyers get the earphones, a charging case with wireless charging capability, five ear tips (different sizes), and a warranty card. However, Apple doesn’t include a power adapter or a USB-C charging cable in the box.

Regarding colors, the device is available in Jet Black, Quick Sand, Hyper Purple, and Electric Orange.
