Apple’s Steve Jobs theater witnessed the unveiling of, as Apple calls it, the future of the smartphone – iPhone X (tenth-anniversary edition). The futuristic iPhone has no place for a home button or fingerprint sensor instead it flaunts an edge-to-edge display that barely has any bezel surrounding it. The iPhone X debuts with a facial recognition system that, as per Apple’s stats, is more foolproof than a fingerprint sensor. Apple call’s it face ID.

Apple iPhone X Features

The iPhone X (read as iPhone 10) design is similar to what we have been witnessing in numerous credible leaks prior to its launch. The iPhone X has a metal chassis with glass on both the front and the back. The phone comes with tempting 5.8-inch OLED display which Apple prefers to call Super Retina Display. It comes with 1125×2436 pixels resolution which is the highest an iPhone ever had.  Apple famous 3D touch is still supported here. It also supports HDR in both Dolby Vision and HDR.

How Apple’s new FaceID works you may ask? Well, Apple’s this new innovative security system uses a TrueDepth camera system that’s neatly packed right above the display of the phone along with a wide array of sensors including an IR depth camera and an infrared based projector that maps your face from 30,000 infrared signatures. According to Apple, the FaceID only works when a user pays attention to it.

Since the phone has no home button, Apple made some adjustments in its software. Now, you can light up the display by a tap on it or lift it up. A Swipe up will take you to the home and if you swipe up and hold it for an extra second it will trigger app switcher. You can access the Control Center by swiping down.

Apple iPhone X boasts of a vertical dual camera setup where primary camera uses a 12-megapixel sensor with a f/2.4 telephoto lens with a 12megapixel sensor with wide angle sensor and aperture f/1.4.

Like the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, also comes with glass back ensures it supports wireless charging. The phone comes with dust and water resistance. At the heart of Apple iPhone X rocks an A11 Bionic chip which comes with 3GB RAM.

Apple iPhone X India Price and Availability

The iPhone X won’t go on sale until November. It is going to be the most expensive iPhone ever as Apple has decided to price it as $999 for the base variant. It will be available in Space gray and silver colors. In India, iPhone 10 will start from 90,000 INR.
