After the initiative taken by Android smartphone-producing companies to make their phones 5 G-ready, Apple is also tightening its belt. The Cupertino giant has already confirmed that it will update the iPhones to support 5G connectivity. A report has suggested that the stable release of the 5G update for iPhone is scheduled for December, and all iPhone users will be able to enjoy 5G by the next week.

According to the reports, Apple will release the public beta version of iOS 16 to allow 5G support. One thing to mention here is that the update will not be for everyone as it is a beta version. Users who are interested in the same will be supposed to register for the beta build for iPhones to enable 5G support. All the users who will register for the same will be able to experience the 5G network on iPhones before the update gets rolled out for the masses.

Apple, for a long time, has been working on bringing 5G support for iPhones. As of now, Apple is all set to bring 5G connectivity to the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14 series, and the iPhone SE (3rd generation). All the users who will receive the beta build update will be able to provide feedback to Apple regarding the quality of the 5G network on the smartphone.

What else is going on?

Apart from that, we can get to see a major change in the upcoming Apple iPhones as the European Union has asked the brand to offer USB Type-C charging in all its devices. It is expected that the iPhone 15 series will be shipped with the USB Type-C charging port. This clearly means that the journey of lightning cable is coming to an end.
