Apple recently rolled out the public beta version of iOS 16.2 with support for the 5G network. The update is only available for iPhone 12, 13, and 14 series, along with iPhone SE users. One thing which the users should look out for is that they have to first activate Jio and Airtel 5G services on their smartphones to use the high-speed services. In order to use the 5G network on iPhones, the users are supposed to update their iPhones to the latest iOS 16.2 beta software.

The update is only available for a few selected users in India at this point in time. Expectations are that the public version of the software will hit the floors by the end of December 2021. However, users who live in cities where 5G is working will only be able to use it, irrespective of the software and other stuff. The update is only available for users who are registered in the Apple Beta software Program. These users have to agree to the Apple Beta Software Program during the sign-up process for the same.

All the users will be allowed to join or leave the Beta program by Apple at any point in time. If you want to leave the Beta program, the users are supposed to unenroll from the page and follow the instruction to remove their Apple ID from the Beta Program. In order to activate 5G on your iPhone. The users just need to go to Settings, and tap on Mobile Data here. After that, tap on Mobile Data options and select voice and data. Once this process gets completed, you can switch between 4G, 5G, and 5G Auto on your iPhone.
