Apple has announced a new special event for the year titled ‘Spring Loaded’ to be broadcasted from Apple Park on 20 April 2021 at 10:30 PM IST. This was something disclosed by Siri’s response recently. And although the cryptic event name doesn’t reveal much, if rumors are to be true, you can expect new iPad Pros as well as the long-anticipated Tile alternative AirTags to make their way at this stage. Speaking of which, this will be virtually watchable via apple.com.

Apple Spring Loaded Event Expectations

Apple could release the 2021 refresh of iPad Pro in 11-inch and 12.9-inch display sizes. The screen (at least on the bigger model) could get Mini-LED backlighting with better contrasts, color reproduction, and power efficiency prospects. Under the hood, it could house an A14X Bionic which is alleged to be closely based on the company’s M1 chip. Rest, USB-C (w/ Thunderbolt 3), narrow bezels, updated OS variant, new Apple Pencil, and Magic Keyboard case, are also likely.

The company’s long rumored Tile competitor potentially named AirTags could also see the daylight at this event. For the uninitiated, this would be a Bluetooth tracker that could be affixed to things you wish to track. You would be able to triangulate the location through Apple’s Find My service. More specifically, the AirTags are likely to be present within Items tab in Find My app. Recently, Apple added this Items section as part of the iOS 14.5 update, which opened up the Find My service for third-party Bluetooth accessories.
