A few weeks ago, we met the initial phone case prototypes for the iPhone 16 Pro series. Cut to now, we have the same treatment with iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus thanks to Sonny Dickson. The reliable tipster shared phone case designs for the upcoming non-Pro duo with a vertical camera bump instead of a diagonal on the iPhone 15 duo.

As you can see in the image below, the iPhone 16 is likely to don the vertical camera bump. This isn’t the first time we are hearing about the move from having a diagonally-placed dual camera in a squaricle bump to a vertical bump. Dickson posted the image with the claims of ‘first cases’ for iPhone 16 hinting how accessory makers are already placing their bets on rumors to bank on launch-day sales.

Talking about the purported iPhone 16 phone cases shows a vertical camera bump. The device is likely to have two separate camera rings on top of a pill-shaped vertically placed camera bump with rounded edges. There’s a tiny cut-out halfway adjoining the bump possibly for its flash.

Although these are rumors at best, this comes from a reliable tipster ‘Sonny Dickson’ who has a reputation that precedes him. We even got to see the iPhone 16 Pro’s phone case earlier this month with the supposed ‘Capture’ button on the side. The button is primarily programmed to allow users to capture photos, seamlessly zoom in and out, focus on the subject, and respond to pressure and touch alike.

Note that these are still rumors and thus, the phone cases may not be accurate entirely. Watch out for this space to find out all the minor and major progress in what will culminate as the Apple iPhone 16 series this fall.
