Google has launched another beta version of Android 15, Beta 4. It ships with several stability-related improvements, enabling developers to create and integrate their apps with the new operating system. For now, the Android 15 Beta 4 is available to limited devices, but it could expand to more in the near future. Most recently, we also got our hands on the new features in One UI 7.0. Now that Android 15 has reached platform stability, Samsung can also spin the clock on its latest user interface.

Android 15 Beta 4 Reaches Platform Stability
For now, the Android 15 Beta 4 update is available for eligible Pixel smartphones. Given that the platform has reached stability, Google could release the public version anytime soon. The Pixel 9 series is about to debut in August; perhaps Google will unveil Android 15 at the upcoming launch event. Following the launch, Samsung could also release the One UI 7.0 beta version. The stable update, however, might not come out until October or November.
With Android 15 Beta 4, Google has changed the PNG-based emoji font with vector-based emoji. For those catching up, vector graphics don’t lose their quality, even when they are increased in size. However, that is the only new feature in the latest beta version. Bug fixes, on the other hand, are plenty. For instance, the update prevents Pixel 6 devices from being bricked after updating, improves the Face Unlock feature in Pixel Fold, fixes an issue that causes app notification settings to fail to be restored, etc.

While the Android 15 Beta 4 update doesn’t contain any new features, it marks an important stage in the development of the upcoming Android 15 operating system. Google is most likely to float the stable update with the Pixel 9 and Pixel Fold 2, and it doesn’t have much time left before the phones come out in the mid-August launch event.
