Flying Flea Collaborates With Qualcomm To Develop Its Electric Motorcycles

One of Flying Flea’s first EV motorcycles, FFC6, will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon QWM2290 system-on-chip (SoC). The advanced chipset will enable real-time connectivity and intuitive controls. Along with that, the chipset will also feature the Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud platform.
The Snapdragon QWM2290 chipset powers the core vehicle control unit (more like the CPU of the electric vehicle), which runs on an in-house operating system. With the operating system, the Qualcomm chipset enables the motorcycle to manage all the aspects of the vehicle, including the ride experience, and displays everything on the TFT cluster.

The Qualcomm CPU Enables Features Like 4G Connectivity And Ride Modes

With the Car-to-Cloud functionality, the Flying Flea electric motorcycle can maintain seamless connectivity between the rider and the core system via a “secure, multi-modal interaction, both on and off the motorcycle with 4G, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity.” Using the connectivity platform, the company has created a simple yet intuitive user interface, including a dedicated voice assist button.
The FFC6 offers five pre-set ride modes and allows the rider to customize the mode combinations based on the terrain. These include Performance, City, and Reverse, with features like lean-angle sensing ABS. In addition to the ride modes, users can also adjust the level of power, regeneration, and traction.
The EVs Will Also Support Digital Smart Key Functionality
\With the Qualcomm chip, Flying Flea has also managed to enable the digital key unlocking feature, which utilizes the user’s smartphone’s smart key to unlock and start the device. The FF-C6, along with the FF-S6, should be available for the public by early 2026. Before that, the two-wheelers will be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, which will kick off on January 17, 2025.
