Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the battery last on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 LTE 40mm?
With its 390 mAh battery, expect roughly 24 to 26 hours of normal daily use with Always-On Display turned off. Active standalone LTE usage or continuous GPS tracking during outdoor runs will drain the battery faster, requiring daily charging.
Does the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 LTE 40mm work with Jio and Airtel eSIMs in India?
Yes, it supports standalone LTE connectivity via eSIM through major Indian network operators like Reliance Jio and Airtel. You can easily clone your phone's mobile number using the Wearable app to receive calls and stream music without taking your phone along.
Can I make and receive calls on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 LTE without my phone nearby?
Absolutely. Once your eSIM profile is activated on the watch, you can directly answer voice calls, make outgoing calls, and reply to text messages using the built-in speaker and microphone, even if your phone is left at home.
Does the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 LTE work with non-Samsung Android phones and iPhones?
It pairs smoothly with any modern Android smartphone running Android 13 or higher with at least 1.5 GB RAM. However, it isn't compatible with iPhones, and special features like ECG, Blood Pressure tracking, and specific Galaxy AI integrations remain exclusive to Samsung Galaxy phones.
Is the 40mm size too small for men's wrists?
Not at all. The 40mm case size features a 1.34-inch screen and a lightweight 31.5g body, making it an ideal minimalist choice for slim to medium wrist sizes (under 17 cm). If you have larger wrists or prefer maximum battery life, the 44mm variant is worth considering.
Is the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 LTE 40mm waterproof for swimming?
Yes, it features a 5ATM + IP68 rating along with military-grade MIL-STD-810H durability. You can safely wear it for surface swimming, showering, or intense, sweaty workouts, though it isn't suited for high-pressure scuba diving.
How fast does the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 LTE 40mm charge?
It uses Samsung's WPC-based fast wireless charger and takes about 75 to 90 minutes to go from zero to a full charge. Note that older third-party wireless charging pads may charge very slowly or not align properly with the rear sensors.
What upgraded features are included in the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 series?
This generation steps up to a 3nm Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, double the outdoor display brightness at 3,000 nits, enhanced dual-frequency L1+L5 GPS for precise outdoor routes, and native Google Gemini AI assistant features.
