Realme X2 Pro Review

#ExpertReview
By Smartprix6 years ago
Realme X2 Pro is remarkably heavy on tech. Such performance hardware is surely unprecedented at the given price, which is why the X2 Pro should make a huge splash and will inevitably be viewed superior to adjoining competition like Redmi K20 Pro and Asus 6Z and pass on as a more aggressively priced alternative to OnePlus 7T and ROG Phone 2. In our opinion, the practical usage experience lies somewhere in the middle too. The X2 Pro turned out to be quite impressive but was let down by its software. We are hoping that the upcoming customized Color OS 7 upgrade will finally eliminate this necessary evil out of the equation and make the X2 Pro a lot more attractive. The Realme X2 Pro is definitely a great buy for mobile gamers. But even if you don’t necessarily need the best possible gaming hardware, we can heartily recommend it as an option to anyone restricted by a budget of around 30k.
  • Premium design
  • Excellent performance
  • Excellent battery mileage and fast charging
  • HD streaming support
  • Retains audio jack
  • No microSD card slot
  • Color OS 6 needs refinements

Worth the money

Good: 1. The main plus point of this phone is charging. Within 30min 0-100% charged. 2. No hanging problem 3. Very smooth experience because of 90hz refresh rate. 4. Awesome music for dual speaker. Awesome means awesome. 5. Display was ❤️ Bad: 1. Heating problem when you put the phone in charging and gaming. 2. Camera is totally disappointed me. I have attach some clicks you can check and gudge the camera quality. 3. It's heavy weight phone. I m previous using VIVO V9 that one 151gm but X2 pro is near about 198-200gm. So you can imagine how heavy it is. But one advantage is there. If any grocery shop not have 200gm weight bar then you can give him your phone 🤣 If you think it is helpful then do like 😎

Best in the market!

Excellent phone in this budget or just dont go by the word budget, it is just an awesome phone for comparison with phones of any budget. I have been using Samsung S7 for couple of years now and if there was anything which kept me clinging to my old phone was the display that Samsung products have particularly the Galaxy S Series (more pixel densities ie. PPIs). I had to change as the battery was awful and did not event last even half a day. Now coming to this phone, I had no doubts with the specs as it is latest in the market (855+ chip set) and the battery I know would last about for a day at least in the beginning as that is the case with all smartphones (and later the drain is faster as the config goes old) but I was apprehensive if I would get a display that can match Samsung's and I must say its an absolute YES. Amazing display with rich color reproduction coupled with a 90Hz screen refresh rate the experience takes you to another level. I will list out the pros and cons below: --Amazing display, coupled with 90Hz refresh rate just 'Awesome' --Dolby Atmos does have an impact as the sound is rich and full of life --Touch feedback is good and at par with other high end devices --Call quality is good and network connectivity is strong, can get wifi even from places in my house where my previous phone would struggle a bit (eg. 3-4 walls away from the router) --Screen size is perfect (was looking for something beyond 6/ 6.5 inch as my palms are big). Plus what all matters in smart phone is a big screen as that is what entertains and keeps you glued to phones (my opinion). --I do little bit of gaming but my experience with Asphalt and PubG has been very good. NO HEATING WHATSOEVER. Played each for about 30 minutes. No significant drain in battery also noted. --Super VOOC 50W charger is awesome. Charges phone in ziffy. I am expecting battery to become weak and start draining quickly after a year but with a charger like this those worries are allayed. --Phone aesthetics is terms of look and weight is perfectly balanced. Looks premium and the case cover provided is really of top quality. I have purchased Lunar White Version (12 GB, 256 GB). Liked it! --With regards to OS, both professional reviewers and users in general have complained about Color OS having unnecessary apps (bloatwares), well you always have the option to uninstall them so where is the issue. I have used Motorola (which is pure android), Samsung and Apple, I must tell you color OS does provide numerous options to tweak and trick which other OS don't. Till now no problem there. Cons --Or rather the only Con is the camera I feel can be better (despite updating the latest patch which says that it improved HDR enabled shoots). They have the hardware however the software needs to be perfectly tweaked to give you that amazing feel. I am hoping RealMe would take this in account and do something about it. Having said that it is pretty good for photography. You may visit my first unboxing review of the phone which Iam going to upload in youtube shortly. Please pardon me for small blemishes as it was my first. Will provide the url in a while. Overall verdict - just go for it. IT IS REAL GOOD PHONE. I got the 12GB version for Rs.26500/- after exchange of my Samsung S7 and after all the card and coin discounts that I could manage (during the end of year sale which finished recently). Thanks to Flipkart for such a good deal and fast delivery.
