The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will be the first global phone to ship with 10GB of RAM, and it also brandishes OnePlus’ new and improved Warp fast charging technology. The best part about any special edition is, of course, the packaging. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition Box is designed in the carmaker’s uniform Carbon Fiber and Papaya Orange theme. The first thing that greets you when you open the carbon-fiber-texture lid is a coffee table book titled ‘Salute to speed’. It details milestones in McLaren’s inspiring journey while drawing parallel Analogies in OnePlus success.
The magically fast Dash charge has consistently remained one of the highpoints of OnePlus experience for the last few years. The improved and rebranded Wrap charge is touted to deliver a days charge in 20 minutes of charging.
As expected, the additional 2GB RAM on the McLaren Edition doesn’t make a noticeable difference to the performance. The OnePlus 6T remains blazing fast as ever and the Oxygen OS is still one of our favorite custom interfaces.
The OnePlus 6T McLaren edition with its subtle refinements looks awesome and is strictly meant for hardcore McLaren or OnePlus fans. It breaks the 50K barrier, which still sounds unusual for a brand that found its footing in delivering economically priced flagships, but then again it’s still cheaper than other Automotive limited edition phones around.

Just wow!
The older OnePlus mobiles still has niche fan base and 6T is a quite an example. Battery life is decent considering the mobile was produced in 2018 and the fact that mobiles were not used this extensively like today. Display is good topping at 60hz refresh rate. If you are buying this mobile in 2023, and if you can bargain for 4G only and that if you do not use mobile so extensively, then it is not a bad choice after all.
