Still the best budget phone
After the success of Moto G Motorola have launched the advanced version of Moto G (2nd Generation) which runs on Android KitKat 4.4.4 out-of-the box and Motorola has guaranteed an Android Lollipop upgrade within a month.
The Moto G features a 5 inch IPS display and a great sharpness. The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection to guard it against everyday scratches and scrapes. The device has a sleek plastic body and changeable back panels just like the older Moto G. It weighs around 149 grams and measures 11mm around its waist.
It comes with a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor for optimum gaming experience. It has a 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera.
Overall it is still the best budget phone available in the market with Android lollipop update and value for money product.

Moto G review (2014): Best budget Smartphone
This won't be a phone that you fall hard and fast for. It won't sweep you off your feet, nor will it dazzle you with a slew of whizbang features. Because none of that changes the fact that the Moto G is still one of the best budget smartphones you can buy today. Using the thing isn't as revelatory an experience as firing up the new Moto X was, but Motorola's long list of seemingly modest improvements collectively add up to a device that's worth your attention.
There's no shortage of phones that stack up the Moto G based on pure power, but it's a whole other ball game when we factor in that cheapo price tag.read more →

- Camera is much better than the original's
- Near-stock Android 4.4.4 is a treat
- Feels snappy despite aging internals
- Inexpensive
- No LTE
- Screen isn't as crisp as last year's model
Motorola Moto G Review
After playing around with the new Moto G, there’s no hiding who is the target audience that Motorola is trying to cater to with the phone. Sporting the same outright price as before, we’ll hand it to Motorola for keeping its cost very low and affordable.

- Cost is extremely affordable for what it offers
- Display is actually pretty good at reproducing colors accurately
- Slight element of customization with its rear covers
- Stock Android experience is simple & intuitive
- Still no 4G LTE radio with this one
- Video recording lacks continuous auto-focus
- Processor can't handle intensive operations
- Larger size makes it tougher to operate with a single hand
Motorola Moto G review: Third time's a charm, but wants for LTE
There are so many good things in Motorola's latest Moto G package that it pains me to recommend that some people skip it, holding out for a future LTE model instead. Of course, your data speed desires are entirely up to you. Weighing the other hardware specs, price, and handset design, though, this Moto G is a budget phone I can get behind, and one that elevates an already fine line of affordable Moto phones.

- Lollipop 5.0 update able.
- Moto G's absence of the fast data standard is a drag.
- No LTE.
- Little bit Heavy than others.
Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen) (16 GB) Reviews
Overall satisfied with this product from MOTO
It's been 2 years since i bought this product. Initially it was just awesome product. Everything was fine, had no any single complaint in any respect. But after upgrading it to Lolipop from Kitkat and especially further to Marshmallow, it started creating issues like hanging up, lagging in accessing app, typing n all. in short 1GB RAM is not sufficient for upgraded version of android. Rest is fine incl. camera+UI+video quality+voice clarity. I suggest not to upgrade it further once you buy it. Upgradation to Lolipop is ok (avg.) but not to marshmallow, it is horrible to use it with this device. Few features are good in marshmallow but rests are terrific. GPS is not good, i don't know whether it's device hardware issue or something else as it started once after the upgrade to Marshmallow. Location accuracy is worst even after setting it to high accuracy mode.
- Camera quality especially in day time is supperb
- User interface
- Voice quality
- Screen Resolution is ultimate
- Browsing speed
- Battery backup was good with Kitkat
- Storage of 12GB is good
- RAM ok
- Sound quality for music is really good
- some of the times Lags in operating or accessing any app(marshmallow version)
- GPS accuracy is disappointing
- Wifi auto -scanning feature setting problem
- Call sim selection membrane is not so smart
- Battery drains faster with marshmallow version
