LG Q6 Plus

LG Electronics have unveiled the design and specs of its upcoming Q-series smartphones prior to the official launch of the product. As per the announcement made by LG on their official website, the Q series will be available in three models - Q6, Q6+, and Q6α. Talking about the base model of Q series, LG Q6 will sport a 5.5-inch FHD+ Full vision display having an 18:9 aspect ratio, and come clad in a metal frame with minimal bezels. Other than that, the phone will carry octa-core Snapdragon 430 chipset at the hardware helm. At the software part, Q6 will operate on the latest Android Nougat 7.1 software and will function on 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM. The phone also house a battery with 3000mAh capacity. In terms of optics, Q6 comes with a 13-megapixel single rear camera and at the front, the smartphones feature a 5-megapixel camera with wide-angle lens. LG has also added a square Camera Mode feature on the device which makes it easy to “share your squares” or create photo collages using multiple square images. The lacking point of Q6 is that it will not feature fingerprint scanner, which is the need of the hour for smartphone users. Although LG has tried to cover this with their proprietary Face Recognition feature that allows owners to unlock the phone by reading their face. The connectivity options on the smartphones include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and USB Type-B 2.0. As of now LG Q6 will go on sale in key markets in Asia starting next month to be followed by availability in Europe, Latin America, and North America onward, and will be available in Astro Black, Mystic White and Terra Gold colors.
