LG Optimus L7 review: L-egant droid
The Optimus L7 really catches the eye. With its large, bright screen, slim 8.7mm waistline, and pleasantly-textured back panel, it is a very comfortable phone to hold in hand. The interface is littered with cool transitions and effects, and the presence of all those nifty Ice Cream Sandwich optimizations are a welcome sight. It comes with Gorilla Glass and a hefty 1700 mAh battery.

LG E900 Optimus 7 review: Lucky seven
This is only the second Windows Phone 7 device weve reviewed but were already getting a clear picture of what we can expect. The main differentiator will be the hardware, with minor perks included in the software.
But the DLNA feature of Optimus 7 is likely to remain unique for a while as Microsoft has put tight restrictions on Windows Phone 7 software (so no third-party app can do it).read more →

LG Optimus 7
We feel somewhat odd giving such a high grade to a device that really brings nothing new to the table in terms of hardware. LG might be making gorgeous retina displays for a certain other phone maker, but that IPS goodness is nowhere to be seen here. The camera is also only mediocre, while the internal spec can be had on literally any other Windows Phone 7 device. What's really got us hooked, however, is the inescapable feeling of a quality piece of mobile kit.read more →
- Outstanding fit and finish
- Generously sized battery
- Play To media streaming legitimately useful
- Generic LCD is a step behind Super screens
- Awkward microUSB port cover
- Smallish power button
Is LG's Optimus 7 the prime Windows Phone 7 handset?
With Windows Phone 7 devices sharing an awful lot in terms of base specifications and button placement, it's arguably a challenge to get differentiation. LG has chosen to up the basic memory quota and add some apps.
But, we've really taken against some aspects of Windows Phone 7, not least being locked into Zune and not being able to expand on internal memory. Microsoft may have shot itself in the foot a couple of times there, and poor old LG (and Samsung, HTC and Dell) have just had to make the best of it.read more →

LG's Optimus 7 & Samsung's Focus Reviewed: A Tale of Two Windows Phones
The Optimus 7 has the form factor although it is thicker than I’d like. Build quality is excellent however it falls short in the display department. Ideally I’d like to see something built like the Optimus 7, with the thickness of the Focus and a display on par with either the Focus or iPhone 4. Toss in a more expensive camera sensor and you’ve got the makings of the perfect Windows Phone.read more →
