Huawei recently unveiled its latest flagship phone Honor V8 in China. It comes with a dual camera at the back which looks exactly like the one present in Huawei P9. Each camera has a 12 MP sensor with laser autofocus and F2.2 aperture lens, but the most noteworthy thing is the missing Leica branding below the lenses. At the front, Huawei has provided with an 8 MP camera (even this looks the same as in P9), capable of clicking good selfies even in low light.
Huawei brings its top end Kirin 950 SoC processor, which is an octa core chipset with 4xCortex A-72 + 4xCortex A-53 cores and 4GB virtual memory. Honor V8 is a 5.7-inch device with two variants to choose from - a full HD (1920 x 1080) with 32 GB internal memory or another with Quad HD (2560 x 1440) resolution and 64 GB storage capacity. Both the models use IPS panels with 2.5D curved glass. It is the first time Huawei has finally gone above a 1080p display.
Connectivity in this device is well taken care of with all major features such as LTE, but the base model lacks NFC and consumes power from a 3500mAh battery. Notably, Huawei has not changed its chipset even though it is very heavy. You can buy Huawei Honor V8 online in India for 22,999 INR.
