HTC Wildfire S A510e Expert Reviews
HTC Wildfire S review: S-size droid
The whole S lineup by HTC is under clear instructions not to be too generous with the upgrades. The Wildfire S takes that almost literally but isnt afraid to smuggle in something thats actually worth it. In our case here, the screen is the major beneficiary: it retains the 3.2 diagonal but gets a welcome boost to HVGA resolution.
Lets stay focused though on the most important thing about the Wildfire S. read more →
- Quad-band GSM and dual-band 3G support
- 7.2 Mbps HSDPA, 384 Kbps HSUPA support
- 3.2" 256K-color TFT capacitive touchscreen of HVGA (320 x 480 pixels) resolution
- 600MHz Snapdragon MSM7227 CPU, Adreno 200 GPU; 418MB of user-available RAM
- Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) with HTC Sense 2.1 UI
- Poor camera performance
- No HD 720p video recording
- No shutter key for the camera
- No Adobe Flash player, Flash Lite only
- No Document viewer
HTC HTC Wildfire S
The Wildfire S is a compact handset with strong voice quality to match, but it's held back by a weak CPU.
At the end of the day, the Wildfire S is a handset that many shoppers will choose based on its size (or color) alone. Despite its limitations, the phone offers a compelling set of features at a price that's hard to ignore. Yes, a faster processor, less glossy screen, and more thoughtful button placement could make this phone truly outstanding, but the device provides a respectable balance when form factor is the biggest concern. read more →
- Excellent voice clarity
- Solid build
- Good camera w/ LED flash
- Sluggish when multitasking
- Highly reflective display
- Average battery life
HTC Wildfire S (MetroPCS)
The HTC Wildfire S is an average, low-end Android phone for MetroPCS, and you can do better for less money. read more →
- Cute and tiny
- Bright, colorful display
- FM radio.
- Low-end specs
- Short battery life
- Slow Internet.
HTC's latest Android phone is nice and small, but does it offer too little?
The HTC Wildfire S is a solid and well-featured phone, no doubt about that, but the poor little thing struggles to render some web pages and isn't exactly future-proof in this fast-moving mobile world.
Yes, you get Android 2.3 and all the many joys of HTC Sense, but without Flash Player support and with a processor that would've been considered slow in 2010, it's hard to find a place in 2011's vibrant, multicultural smartphone scene for the HTC Wildfire S. read more →
- Solid and durable body
- Great features on HTC Sense 2.1
- Responsive capacitive touchscreen
- Fairly decent still shots
- Under-powered processor
- Disappointing video recording
- No DivX/Xvid video playback
- Too expensive for what's on offer
HTC Wildfire S Review
The HTC Wildfire S is a neat, compact smartphone. Naturally, with the small form-factor comes some loss in functionality, specifically applying to the usability of a virtual keyboard on its 3.2" screen. The other drawback comes in the form of the underpowered processor resulting in lag. On the flip-side, screen quality benefits from decent resolution while Gingerbread with HTC Sense serves up a user-friendly treat. read more →
- Good screen
- Sense 2.1 is user friendly
- Camera performs well
- Underpowered processor
- Virtual keyboard too small
- In-call quality far from great
HTC Wildfire S A510e Reviews
Great phone, but only after you modify it.
I used this phone for about a year. The phone is really compact and solid when you hold it. It has a nice camera and clear display, but if you really want to push this phone to its limits, you must modify it. It only has 150MB of internal memory, so I had to make SD partitions and increase this number to 1GB. Sense was the next thing on the list. With Android 4.2.1 it felt faster than phones with 1GHz processor.

Very good mobile with low internal memory
Hi Guys, I am using this phone for the past 3 months, I love this phone very much because of it's appearance. But the only problem I am facing with this phone is low internal memory. Out of 512 MB after installation of the android O.S only 150 MB will be remaining. So we cannot install more app's and cannot explore the features of the app's. I recommend HTC to increase the internal memory to 1 GB and process to 800 MHz(like Samsung Galaxy Ace). Definitely It will be a good phone if the two things is increased.
low internal memory
Very Poor Internal Memory. can we increase its internal memory...it shows only 150 mb for the application out of 512MB...so for most of the application it show low memory...
Awesome phone with awful Internal Memory
Hey Guys, I have been using this phone from past 3 month now, I absolutely love this phone until it comes down to its internal memory. Internal memory is very disappointing specially when you are Android apps enthusiast. It avoids you from exploring more apps and features that are out there. Battery back up is just above OK, not very good. I understand that I use it a lot for accessing internet and it consumes lot of battery power.
- Real Quick
- Very Good Music Quality
- Supports maximum number of android apps compared to other phones
- Bright Display
- Clear Picture
- Compact and Handy
- Very Poor Internal Memory
- Can improve its Battery
- No Equalizer option for Music Player!! Surprising..!! :(
