A quick and clever QWERTY-toting BlackBerry for the budget-conscious

For a mid-range handset, the BlackBerry Curve 3G stands up well. If you're after an email-machine with occasional web browsing and a spot of media playback, then it'll suit you down to the ground without costing you a fortune – and with BlackBerry OS 6 just around the corner, things can only get better.read more →

RIM BlackBerry Curve 3G for Sprint Review

As usual, the RIM BlackBerry Curve 3G scored high marks on the performance section. Callers were amazed at how good we sounded, calling it “high def kinda stuff.” They said we were extremely clear and that they could hear everything, and rated us 9/10. Things were good but didn’t have the wow factor on our end. We could hear them just fine and they sounded perfectly natural. Battery life remains the same at 4.5 hours of talk time.read more →
    • Improved, more responsive trackpad
    • Better feel all around
    • Upgradable to BlackBerry OS 6
    • Display is low-res for a smartphone
    • Battery life could be better

RIM BlackBerry Curve 3G for Verizon Wireless Review

Overall, we are quite pleased with the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 , and its low $29.99 price with a 2-year contract is budget friendly for those looking to get into the world of BlackBerry without having to spend a lot. It does have a few improvements from the previous model, most notably the faster processor, but we wish that it came with a higher resolution screen and BlackBerry OS 6 out of the box. Though this doesn’t take away from what it does offer, and the QWERTY keyboard is nice for messaging.read more →
    • Quick performance
    • Nice looking music/video player
    • Above average call quality
    • Display is still QVGA
    • Overall design is unchanged
    • Camera lacks autofocus and a flash

RIM BlackBerry Curve 3G for T-Mobile Review

First and foremost, you might want to stick with the BlackBerry Curve 8520 and save some money if you're not covered in T-Mobile's 3G goodness. With that in mind, the BlackBerry Curve 3G proves to be a decent attraction when it's priced at $79.99 on-contract – granted though it doesn't innovate in design from the previous iteration. Nevertheless, it packs some minor improvements under the hood to make it a slightly better handset in the greater scheme of things.read more →
    • 3G speeds
    • Peppy performance
    • Good battery life
    • Smaller sized QVGA display
    • Unchanged design
