I am writing this review after using the ASUS ROG phone for two years, and I cannot emphasize enough how much of a regrettable purchase it has been. I strongly advise against buying this phone, as it has been nothing but trouble since the day I spent a substantial 80k on it. I should have opted for a OnePlus or iPhone instead of this subpar device. The problems started just four months after purchasing the phone when the motherboard suddenly died. I had to go through the hassle of getting it replaced, which was an inconvenience in itself. But the issues didn't stop there. When the Android 12 update was released, the fingerprint sensor stopped working entirely. Once again, the motherboard had to be replaced due to some mysterious problem. It's infuriating that ASUS only provides a one-year warranty for a phone that costs so much. After just one year, the speaker malfunctioned, leaving me to foot the bill for its replacement. These constant hardware issues are unacceptable for a flagship device and make it seem like ASUS cares little about the longevity and reliability of their products. To add insult to injury, the latest update to Android 13 has rendered the air triggers useless. These are one of the main features that set the ROG phone apart, and their failure after the update is incredibly frustrating. The overall quality of ASUS's service is pathetic. Their technicians are unprofessional and lack the necessary expertise to deal with the problems that their phones seem to have consistently. It's infuriating to spend such a significant amount of money on a phone only to receive shoddy support when issues arise. I cannot stress this enough: do not waste your money on ASUS ROG phones. They are garbage, and the constant hardware problems, coupled with their poor customer service, make them a terrible investment. Look into other branded phones that prioritize customer satisfaction and provide better value for your hard-earned money.
